What is Crossfit?
CrossFit is a strength and conditioning programme designed to make you fitter stronger and healthier than you have ever been. It is fully scalable, meaning that everyone from a first timer to an Olympic athlete can still benefit from the programme.
It focuses on functional movements that we would find in day to day life, pushing ,pulling ,squatting etc , and teaches us to perform them at high intensity , increasing our work capacity over multiple time duration’s and work demands such as moving a heavy load (Weight Lifting), moving ourselves (Gymnastics) while under a strong aerobic response (CV endurance) .
CrossFit will generate a powerful fitness and conditioning base for all athletes regardless of age and capacity. It will increase your GPP (General Physical Preparedness) so that you are ready to take on whatever the world throws at you.
The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind . Every time you workout it will be tough, and as you get better the programme grows with your new abilities.
